Abbatzu, also known as Abbamele, is a traditional Sardinian product and one of the oldest in Sardinian cuisine. Basically, it is a decoction of honey and pollen with the addition of seasonal citrus peel infused over a low flame.<\/p>\n
Gastronomic matches: salted ricotta, seadas, or as an ingredient for some Sardinian sweets such as ‘su pistiddu’ (typical sweet for St. Anthony) or ‘su papassinu’.<\/p>\n
